    The Handheld Spectrum Analyzer R&S FSH3 is available in two versions with and without tracking generator. The R&S FSH3 includes an adjustable preamplifier which enables sensitive measurements in the entire frequency range from 100 kHz to 3 GHz. A new firmware update allows all R&S FSH models to be tuned by means of channel numbers as an alternative to entering frequencies, since many users from mobile radio and broadcasting are more familiar with working with channels than frequencies. Channel tables for all important TV transmitter stations worldwide are supplied with the R&S FSH View PC software.

  The handheld spectrum analyzer R&S FSH3 is available in two versions with a frequency range from 100 kHz to 3 GHz. The integrated tracking generator makes the instrument ideal for scalar and vector network analysis, distance-to-fault measurements and one-port cable loss measurements. In many cases, however, the R&S FSH3 can also be used without a tracking generator for installing, optimizing and servicing WLAN 802.11a networks, or in general lab applications.

   The handheld spectrum analyzer includes an adjustable preamplifier which enables sensitive measurements in the entire frequency range. If the preamplifier is switched on, the displayed average noise level of the instrument is typ. -135 dBm at 100 Hz bandwidth. With a guaranteed measurement accuracy of greater than 1.5 dB (and typ. 0.5 dB), the specifications of the compact spectrum analyzer come close to those of a high-end desktop instrument. With vector transmission measurements, the R&S FSH3 achieves a dynamic range of typ. 90 dB. This best-of-class value makes it suitable even for critical antenna isolation measurements on base stations. The long battery operating time of up to four hours is vital for such field applications. A new sturdy aluminum transit case protects the instrument during use in the field and provides space for all accessories.
