Fluke 189 Datalogging Multimeter
Fluke 189 Datalogging Multimeter
You can choose to work with one of the world's smartest meters. The Fluke 189 datalogging meter is part of the next generation in powerful, accurate handheld DMMs. Designed with the most advanced feature set to enhance efficiency and value, the high-performance 189 meets the needs of plant maintenance, electrical, control and process technicians. It boasts 0.025% accuracy, 100-kHz bandwidth and 50,000 counts of resolution. You'll enjoy enhanced start-up speed. Place the leads on the circuit to see a stable reading displayed instantly. You also get faster readings, extended ranges, lower dc volts and broader capacitance range.
This meter measures volts, amps, ohms, capacitance and continuity, plus it has a diode test function. An ergonomic case design houses a multiple-reading display with real-time clock for simultaneous readouts such as true-rms ac + dc and Hz, dB and mV dc and more. Correlating time of day with events improves troubleshooting. In addition to relative mode and Min/Max/Average, you get Fast Min Max mode for capturing transients as short as 250 µs. Also features a bright two-level LED backlight and enhanced LCD with larger digits and a wide viewing angle.
The Fluke 189 offers stand-alone datalogging capability, individual reading storage and PC communication. Set it up to capture and store a series of measurements using various meter functions while unattended. In logging mode, the meter monitors all changes in the input signal and stores a summary based on a timed interval (up to three days) as well as the stability of the measured signal. The 189's logging capability is maximized through template-driven custom reporting. Primary and secondary readings, meter functions and corresponding icons are all stored in memory along with a real-time stamp to indicate when readings were taken. Model 189 can store up to 100 separate readings so you can review them at a later time on the meter's display. Or use the optional FlukeView® Forms software to download stored information to a PC. It lets you create reports, graphs and charts.
Logging capability, storage and report generation are powerful features that make the 189 a comprehensive technician's tool. They simplify collecting and documenting important measurements so troubleshooting complex electrical and electronic circuits is easier. Stored readings make retaining measurements in the meter for comparison to current or real-time measurements possible. Thanks to these enhanced features, you can document test procedures for new equipment installation, meet regulatory guidelines and track maintenance histories.
This model features closed-case calibration which allows adjustments to be made directly from the front panel or through the infrared port. Fluke has further improved its functionality with a battery access door that lets you change batteries and fuses without breaking the calibration seal. The 189 meets IEC-61010 CAT III 21-V and CAT IV 600-V safety ratings and carries a dust-proof and drip-proof environmental rating. Overmolding technology disperses shock loads over more of the case than traditional holster designs, resulting in a more rugged meter.
