The 3570D Hypot II is an AC/DC Hipot with a built-in Insulation Resistance testing function. This provides 3-in-1 functionality in a mid-range instrument covering three safety tests: AC Hipot, DC Hipot and Insulation Resistance. Tests may be sequenced using set-up memories to include AC Hipot, DC Hipot, and IR individually or in any combination so tests may run automatically. A real benefit of the 3570D is that, like all of Associated Research's Hypot II models, it includes complete safety agency recognition. These are the only Hipots in the world that include both TÜV and UL listing.

The most common applications of the dielectric-withstand (Hipot) test are:

  • Design (performance) Testing - Determining design adequacy to meet service conditions.
  • Product Line Testing - Detecting defects in material or workmanship during processing.
  • Acceptance Testing - Proving minimum insulation requirements of purchased parts.
  • Repair Service Testing - Determine reliability and safety of equipment repairs.
