  •  1E5 High stability time base

The Agilent/HP 8648D Synthesized RF Signal Generator is ideal for manufacturing high-volume products such as cordless telephones, pagers and two-way radios. Designed for semi-automated receiver test, and a variety of general purpose applications, the Agilent/HP 8648D starts with the basic capabilities of the Agilent/HP 8647A, enhances residual FM, level accuracy and phase noise performance, offers optional pulse modulation and high power, and extends the frequency to 4 GHz. While economical, the Agilent/HP 8648D is built to stringent quality standards, promoting reliability and measurement repeatability. In addition, the simplistic design of the front panel shortens the operator's learning curve and increases productivity. With 300 storage registers and ten user-definable sequences (accessible from a remote keypad), the Agilent/HP 8648D easily adapts to any test procedure.

  • Economical 4 GHz synthesized signal generator
  • Superior level accuracy
  • Wide frequency and output power coverage
  • Optional pulse modulation and high power
  • Remote and memory interfaces for semi-automated testing
  • Simple, dependable operation

Easy to use

Designed to simplify operator use and training, the Agilent/HP 8648A front panel is organized in easy-to-identify functional blocks, and offers independent frequency and amplitude control knobs. The 300 internal storage registers and ten user- definable sequences easily adapt to any test procedure. Once test setups are saved in storage registers, operators can quickly sequence through them to efficiently make pass/fail decisions or tune a receiver.

Full HP-IB Connectivity

For automated test applications, the Agilent/HP 8647/48 offers full HP-IB programmability and uses SCPI programming codes. In addition, the AgilenHP 8648 series reduces software development costs by providing full HPIB code compatibility with the Agilent/HP 8656B and 8657A/B signal generators.
