   The Agilent/HP 85960B CaLan 2010B SLM Plus is a field-rugged, easy-to-use signal measurement device that maintains accuracy in all environmental conditions. The unit comes with a standard frequency range of 5 MHz to 1 GHz and four modes of operation: single channel, four channel, spectrum scan, and a time-saving channel scan (60 channels in less than 2 seconds). Rugged and portable, the CaLan 2010B is an affordable, entry-level CATV Level Meter. Simple, one-button tests include carrier amplitude, digital channel power, carrier-to-noise ratio, and hum. The four-channel adjustment mode allows technicians to view four channels at a glance, for a quick, system-wide check of the lowest, highest and AGC pilot frequencies.

Digital Power Measurements

   The Digital Power Measurements mode accurately measures the average power of a channel or frequency span containing a digitally-modulated carrier. By sampling the power at 150 kHz intervals multiple times across the channel or span, and integrating the average values, the average power of the channel or span can be measured. Digital power measurements are also made on digital channels in the Channel Scan, Four Channel, and Single Channel selections of the Level Measurements Mode.
