Agilent/HP N9340B 3 GHz Handheld Spectrum Analyzer Agilent/HP N9340B 3 GHz Handheld Spectrum Analyzer Rent me for $1000 a month The Agilent/HP N9340B handheld RF spectrum analyzer provides powerful features for field applications, superior performance to build the confidence in field test, and exceptional usability to enhance field productivity. Regardless of whether you are handling military communications, a Wireless Service Provider (WSP), or involved with spectrum management you need to avoid impaired communication. The N9340B provides you with a reliable, accurate and detailed picture of your communication spectrum. When you test, you need fast data capture to help locate and identify elusive, transient interference signals. Thats why every N9340B spectrum analyzer has a truly fast sweep time. It requires less time to measure across the spectrum, to obtain more reliable test results and to help you achieve more for the same investment of time and money.Features - Spectrogram
- Spectrum emission mask
- Agilent USB power sensor support
- Field strength measurement
- 6.5 TFT color LCD for indoor and outdoor use

Gain confidence in your test results Spurious signals and noise are of great concern to all network users. A superior combination of low displayed average noise level (DANL) and single sideband (SSB) phase noise coupled with a narrow resolution bandwidth (RBW) means your signal measurements are more reliable and you will have more confidence in your test results. The N9340Bs low DANL and SSB phase noise helps you detect very low-level signals (spurs or noise) which are close to the carrier. You will avoid missing these difficult-to-identify signals, which would otherwise lead to an insufficient or even incorrect understanding of the spectrum. The N9340Bs RBW is the narrowest in its class. The narrow 30 Hz bandwidth of the analyzer ensures that it is even easier to identify, resolve, and measure two signals that are close together. Additionally, with a resolution filter shape-factor of less than 5, the N9340B has the ability to resolve closely spaced signals with unequal amplitudes. Moreover, the narrow RBW means that the spectrum analyzer introduces minimal noise itself, helping to further reduce DANL and improve sensitivity. Field strength measurement Electric field strength measurements are frequently required for field testing of transmitter and antenna coverage. Field strength measurements are now a standard function in the N9340B. Calibrated field strength measurements are easy to make once the antenna factors are loaded into the analyzer via the provided PC software based antenna template. |

Agilent/HP 3585A 40 MHz Spectrum Analyzer Agilent/HP 3585A 40 MHz Spectrum Analyzer Rent me for $400 a month
The Agilent/HP 3585A Spectrum Analyzer delivers high performance where it counts - at baseband frequencies. With unmatched accuracy, resolution, and dynamic range, the 3585A is the best solution for signal analysis at the critical frequencies comprising voice, picture, or digital information. In today's high speed, high density information processing systems, maintaining the integrity of data signals requires more measurement performance than ever before. The 3585A provides 80 dB of spurious-free dynamic range, a sharp 3 Hz resolution bandwidth, and fully synthesized tuning. Its 20 Hz - 40.1 MHz frequency range is more than adequate to cover most information bandwidths. Measurement performance is critically important at baseband frequencies, because signal degradation occurring here is typically not recoverable elsewhere in the system. As a result, test requirements for baseband signals and circuits often demand a level of performance that only a high-performance, low-frequency signal analyzer such as the 3585A can provide. Features - 0.1 Hz Resolution

Frequency Response Measurements With its built-in tracking generator, digital trace storage, and narrowband frequency counter, the Agilent/HP 3585A Spectrum Analyzer can accurately measure the frequency response of crystals, filters, and amplifiers. Small amplitude variations are resolved to 0.01 dB using the marker readout and the 1 dB/division expanded amplitude scale. Unwanted effects of test fixtures and cables are removed simply by storing the frequency response of the test setup in Trace B and subtracting it from measured data in Trace A. With its wide dynamic range capability and high-resolution display, the 3585A is ideal for measuring and viewing the analog portions of 14 or 16-bit digital audio systems. It can also measure the frequency response of digital modem filters with better than ± 0.4 dB accuracy Versatile Noise and Distortion Analysis Quiet and rock-stable, the Agilent/HP 3585A excels as a noise and distortion analyzer. Its own uncompromising sensitivity and spectral purity are assured by its advanced front end design, synthesized local oscillator and built-in, oven-stabilized reference. The HP 3585A can measure spurious, harmonic, and intermodulation products at levels typically 100 dB or more below the fundamental. Using its 3 Hz resolution bandwidth, power line sidebands below -95 dBc can typically be measured at frequency offsets of only 50 or 60 Hz. |

A sophisticated phase lock system combines ¿synthesizer-like¿ tuning and frequency accuracy with superior local oscillator spectral purity to make narrow resolution bandwidths practical at RF frequencies and virtually eliminate long-term drift. This system is administered by an internal microcomputer which also makes possible powerful operational features described in later pages. Measurement accuracy High repeatability and features such as tunable marker with frequency count allow measurements to be made more accurately and conveniently than ever before. Less than 1 x 10¿9/day frequency error, together with spectrum analyzer selectivity, make counter frequency accuracy possible even when measuring small signals in the presence of large ones. An internal error correction routine reduces the amplitude measurement uncertainty due to changes in various analyzer controls. Under automatic control, the analyzer's exceptional repeatability may be used to further characterize sources of measurement uncertainty, and thereby enhance accuracy. Amplitude measurement range The 8568B's amplitude measurement range extends from +30 dBm to ¿135 dBm with 90 dB calibrated display, and the input is protected from accidental overload. Calibration units can be selected from dBm, dBmV, dBμV, and volts. The analyzer measures signal levels as low as 32 nV (across 50 ohms).

Creative Installations: The PSA-37D can really help with more creative DBS
dish installations (inside buildings, looking through sparse foliage or windows,
smaller antennas, etc). When the signal obtained is not optimum or there is
uncertainty where to point the dish, it is difficult to use the receivers
built-in alignment program. Wsuing the PSA-37D, the signal can be quickly
located and measured even though it is below the receivers signal strength
requirement. Steps can then be taken to improve the signal.

Use channel power measurement built into the 2658 to determine sum of power
in zone specified by zone center and zone width. Measure total power in the
specified frequency band plus noise power. Also measure adjacent channel power
leakage as the ratio of power in range specified by offset frequency and
bandwidth to carrier wave power. Upper and lower side power leakage are
measured. Select from three measurement methods: total power, reference level
and in-band method from the classification of definition of carrier wave power.
Measure occupied frequency bandwidth as bandwidth of point that's lower by X
(dB) than peak level or as bandwidth of the point of Y (%) of total power.
Choose from two marker measurement modes built into the 2658. Normal marker
mode measures and displays frequency (maximum effective number of digits is
seven) and level (maximum effective number of digits is three) of marker point.
Use delta marker mode to measure and display frequency difference and level
difference between two markers (one of which is a reference marker). Peak search
has two modes. Use normal peak search mode to search for peak level with all of
10 div of frequency axis as the search range. NEXT search up to nine is
permitted in normal peak search mode. In-zone peak search mode searches for peak
level in a range specified by center value and width. The marker moves to peak
level at each sweep in the in-zone peak search mode.

FSH3 Handheld Spectrum Analyzer
The Handheld Spectrum Analyzer R&S FSH3 is available in two
versions with and without tracking generator. The R&S FSH3 includes an
adjustable preamplifier which enables sensitive measurements in the entire
frequency range from 100 kHz to 3 GHz. A new firmware update allows all R&S
FSH models to be tuned by means of channel numbers as an alternative to
entering frequencies, since many users from mobile radio and broadcasting
are more familiar with working with channels than frequencies. Channel
tables for all important TV transmitter stations worldwide are supplied with
the R&S FSH View PC software.
Features
- Frequency range 100 kHz to 3 GHz
- Internal preamplifier with frequency range from 100 kHz to 3 GHz
- Displayed average noise level typ. -135 dBm (RBW 100 Hz) 0.5 dB
typ
- Level accuracy up to 3 GHz
- Resolution bandwidths 100 Hz to 1 MHz. 1 and 3 steps
- Wide range of detectors: sample, max/min peak, auto peak, and
RMS
The handheld spectrum analyzer R&S FSH3 is available in two versions
with a frequency range from 100 kHz to 3 GHz. The integrated tracking generator
makes the instrument ideal for scalar and vector network analysis,
distance-to-fault measurements and one-port cable loss measurements. In many
cases, however, the R&S FSH3 can also be used without a tracking generator for
installing, optimizing and servicing WLAN 802.11a networks, or in general lab
applications.
The handheld spectrum analyzer includes an adjustable preamplifier
which enables sensitive measurements in the entire frequency range. If the
preamplifier is switched on, the displayed average noise level of the instrument
is typ. -135 dBm at 100 Hz bandwidth. With a guaranteed measurement accuracy of
greater than 1.5 dB (and typ. 0.5 dB), the specifications of the compact
spectrum analyzer come close to those of a high-end desktop instrument. With
vector transmission measurements, the R&S FSH3 achieves a dynamic range of typ.
90 dB. This best-of-class value makes it suitable even for critical antenna
isolation measurements on base stations. The long battery operating time of up
to four hours is vital for such field applications. A new sturdy aluminum
transit case protects the instrument during use in the field and provides space
for all accessories.
Many users from mobile radio and broadcasting are more familiar
with working with channels than frequencies. For this reason, a new firmware
update allows all R&S FSH3 models to be tuned by means of channel numbers as an
alternative to entering frequencies.

on cables and scalar network analysis. The FSH313 includes a color display that
reduces errors by enhancing the legibility of critical signal detaills. 100 kHz
to 3 GHz frequency range covers all major communications standards' transmission
frequencies. Portable handheld spectrum analyzer is small and light enough to be
perfect for handheld applications. Superior RF characteristics Fast, accurate,
and precise instrument for its price; Color display enhances usuability and
visibility; RMS detector for correct digital signal analysis; Over 4 hour
battery life Extremely portable for field use

Handheld Spectrum Analyzer
The Handheld Spectrum Analyzer R&S FSH6 is available in two
versions with and without tracking generator. The R&S FSH6 includes an
adjustable preamplifier which enables sensitive measurements in the entire
frequency range from 100 kHz to 6 GHz. A new firmware update allows all
R&S FSH models to be tuned by means of channel numbers as an alternative
to entering frequencies, since many users from mobile radio and broadcasting
are more familiar with working with channels than frequencies. Channel tables
for all important TV transmitter stations worldwide are supplied with the
R&S FSH View PC software.
Features
- Frequency range 100 kHz to 6 GHz
- Internal preamplifier with frequency range from 100 kHz to 6 GHz
- Displayed average noise level typ. -135 dBm (RBW 100 Hz) 0.5 dB typ
- Level accuracy up to 6 GHz
- Resolution bandwidths 100 Hz to 1 MHz. 1 and 3 steps
- Wide range of detectors: sample, max/min peak, auto peak, and RMS
The handheld spectrum analyzer R&S FSH6 is available in two
versions with a frequency range from 100 kHz to 6 GHz. The integrated tracking
generator makes the instrument ideal for scalar and vector network analysis,
distance-to-fault measurements and one-port cable loss measurements. In many
cases, however, the R&S FSH6 can also be used without a tracking generator
for installing, optimizing and servicing WLAN 802.11a networks, or in general
lab applications. Moreover, the R&S FSH6 tests the frequency and level of
local oscillators in mobile radio telephones between 3.4 GHz and 3.9 GHz and is
thus also ideal for use in repair stations.
The handheld spectrum analyzer includes an adjustable preamplifier which enables
sensitive measurements in the entire frequency range. If the preamplifier is
switched on, the displayed average noise level of the instrument is typ. -135
dBm at 100 Hz bandwidth. With a guaranteed measurement accuracy of greater than
1.5 dB (and typ. 0.5 dB), the specifications of the compact spectrum analyzer
come close to those of a high-end desktop instrument. With vector transmission
measurements, the R&S FSH6 achieves a dynamic range of typ. 90 dB. This
best-of-class value makes it suitable even for critical antenna isolation
measurements on base stations. The long battery operating time of up to four
hours is vital for such field applications. A new sturdy aluminum transit case
protects the instrument during use in the field and provides space for all
accessories.
Many users from mobile radio and broadcasting are more familiar with working
with channels than frequencies. For this reason, a new firmware update allows
all R&S FSH models to be tuned by means of channel numbers as an alternative
to entering frequencies.

Analyzer
Rent me for $2000 a month
with option
- 1S Automatic Waveform Recording
The Tektronix 3086 is a DC to 3 GHz
real-time spectrum analyzer that allows the seamless capture of frequency
spectra with spans up to 30 MHz (5 MHz - 3066). This allows the spectrum of
burst signals, such as those from GSM, IS-136, PDC or partial rate CDMA mobile
stations, to be easily captured and examined. Real-time spectrum analyzers take
a very different approach compared to traditional sweeping spectrum analyzers.
Rather than acquiring one frequency step at a time, the real-time instrument
captures a block of frequencies all at once. Because the instrument samples
these full frames constantly (rather than waiting for each discrete frequency
step to be measured), the signal can come or go as it pleases and the real-time
spectrum analyzer will detect the change instantly. The
12.1 in. color TFT display allows easy viewing of spectrum, waterfall displays,
spectrograms and digital modulation analysis screens. Constellation and vector
diagrams can be displayed, as well as frequency, phase, magnitude, I and Q
versus time, for in-depth analysis of digitally modulated signals. Users can
move a marker through the time record and analyze the modulation at any point.
In particular, signals with symbol rates up to 20.48 Msymbols/sec (3066 - 5.3 Msymbols/sec)
may be analyzed during and after capture. This facilitates analysis of W-CDMA
signals with chip rates up to 16.384 Mcps.
Option 1S,
automatic waveform recording, can be used to store multiple memory blocks to the
internal hard drive without operator intervention. This enables unattended
monitoring and recording of transient events for later review.
